Summer vacation ideas
Mountain Bike
Where there’s uphill, there’s hard work. And that’s where the most dedicated bikers come in. Valtellina is famous for the Mottolino bike park, but there are plenty of trails for downhill or freeride riding. If you want ask Denis, who is a SIMB MTB instructor, for an opinion.
Motorcycle touring
If you love these hairpin bends but are too lazy to do them by bike, take your bike with you and scale the climbs of Gavia, Stelvio and Mortirolo. Cross the border to Switzerland and admire unique scenery among the world’s most famous Alpine passes.
Trekking
You don’t necessarily have to be a rambo to fully enjoy your vacation. Among these forests and meadows there are more scenic trails, others more challenging and still others, finally, suitable for everyone, even families with children. You only need to choose the right one and walk armed with hiking boots, enjoy!
Riding
If you love nature, direct contact with a horse is something extraordinary. The La Fornace riding stable offers atmospheric rides, introductory lessons for children and beginners, and hikes on the trails of the Stelvio National Park.
Golf
In addition to the 9-hole course in Bormio, discover the natural golf course in St. Catherine, which is located in the Sunny Valley area and uses only the natural morphology of the terrain, without using machinery or chemical components.
